Every case gets solved
Two of these episodes are called The Case of the Missing something, which tells you most of what you need to know. A water bottle vanishes somewhere between the last lesson and the walk home. A favourite pair of blue jeans disappears out of a room that is, admittedly, a disaster.
A baby tooth goes down the plughole. A brand-new bouncy ball bounces clean off the planet. Losing something you love is one of the first genuinely upsetting things that happens to a small person, and these stories take it seriously before they make it funny: Nathan retraces his steps, asks for help, and works out where he actually went.
Every case is closed by the end of the episode. Nothing is left missing overnight, which matters if you are putting one of these on at bedtime for a child who has just lost something themselves.
