Everybody in Cactus Ridge is a worm

Cactus Ridge has saloon doors, tumbleweed, a train, a sheriff and a gang of outlaws, and every single one of its residents is a worm. Sheriff Grubbs keeps order, more or less; Red Whistler is the fastest whistle in the west; Dr. Squigglyboom has a cure for anything you like, including hiccups; and Slithery Jack Sidewinder is the closest thing the nighttime universe has to a bad guy, which is to say he is mildly inconsiderate.

The western is a genre most kids meet through cartoons and video games, usually with the guns left in. Cactus Ridge keeps the hats, the standoffs and the swinging doors, and swaps the showdown for an argument about sharing — which, if you have ever watched two five-year-olds and one swing, is the more realistic conflict anyway.
