After falling off his new bike, Nathan feels unsure if he’s brave enough to try bigger tricks. When Peanut Butter Jim shows up, he whisks Nathan away on a salty pirate adventure across the open ocean — complete with crashing waves, seaweed surprises, and a legendary crew of pirate rodents aboard The Wooden Parrot. Leading the ship is the fearless Captain BubbleBeard, a goldfish pirate with a foamy bubble beard and a hat far too big for his head.
In this stories for kids podcast episode, Nathan and PB Jim sail into the sticky Purple Goop Tide, where the ship gets trapped in gooey, wiggly waves and the entire pirate crew must work together to escape.
To prove they’re true pirates, they’re sent on a spooky rescue-style quest into the Silly Caves, where they meet the mysterious — and surprisingly polite — Ghostly Capybara, guardian of a treasure chest filled with unimaginable riches.
A swashbuckling adventure reminding kids that courage isn’t about never being scared — it’s about trying anyway, even when you’ve got the wiggles.
