Honest about bedtime

Plenty of families use this show at bedtime and it holds up: the episodes run 10 to 20 minutes, every one resolves before it ends, and each finishes on an original song rather than a cliffhanger, which is the single most important property a bedtime story can have.

Nothing jumps out, nothing is left frightening, and the spooky-sounding places always turn out friendly. But it is not a lullaby podcast and we would rather say so. These are adventures β€” they have volume, jokes, chases and songs your child may want to sing immediately afterwards.

Some kids wind down to that and some wind up. If yours winds up, the show is genuinely better in the car, at the dinner table, in the bath or during quiet time on a Saturday, and none of it is any less useful there.
